I've been an Ork player for some time, and I decided that while I love my army, I want to shake it up a bit. SO, I am doing a new army solely for the purpose of painting it to a Parade Grade standard. Or what passes for one at my skill level. So, I will be pushing my boundaries and learning new painting techniques, and there will be plenty of kitbashing to make the army more unique.
There will also be lots of printed models from various artists, like the ones below who were sculpted by MrModulOrk. The two on the left are Nobz, and unlike the GW ones, actually stand taller than the regular Ork Boyz. This army will be more true to the background fluff than the GW models are. I'm not a tournament player, so the occasional difference from the originals is not a problem. I will still have a couple of mobs of the old Assault On Black Reach (AOBR, if you're hip) Boyz, as I still have like 60 of them, unassembled. I'm starting with the Warboss (the big guy on the right in the pic above), a Weirdboy, and a mob of Nobz. This project will likely take a very long time, but I'm looking forward to sharing the journey with you. [For the curious gamer types, everyone but the warboss is on a GW-legal-sized base. Da Boss iz just too dang big :D ]
